My journey began after graduating from college, when I felt a strong desire to create something meaningful — a business that could serve and uplift the community around me. Due to political instability and insecurity in my country of origin, Haiti, I temporarily put that dream on hold.
A few years later, I slowly began building what would become L’Acul by creating and promoting healthy, organic beverages. I recognized a growing need: people wanted to be social, to enjoy nights out, without the effects of alcohol. There was a real demand for low- or no-alcohol options that still felt special and celebratory.
L’Acul officially launched in 2019. In just two years, the brand sold over 5,000 teas, mocktails, and beers from a single location. What started in my kitchen has grown into a business that now employs multiple team members.
I am proud to be a social entrepreneur. L’Acul is committed to giving back by donating 5% of daily sales, four times a year, to local community partners.
Today, I live in Parlin, New Jersey, where I spend my free time practicing and teaching mindfulness, painting, working on book projects, and enjoying life with my family of four.
